The truth is out there.....

In the search for a decent set of kneepads without spending hundreds of dollars I came across these. It's a kneepad off one of the clubbie nipper boards, cut in two and a bit for the kick pad on the tail. I had planned on getting some of this

to lay over these pads and do away with wax altogether but was too much of a tight arse to spend the dosh. Had my first surf on this today and it works really well. I believe the pads are available thru Shapers Australia if anyone is keen.
Very happy with the end result, even if my board does look like something out of The X Files.

  2. That was the place I was going to get the EVA when i was thinking of chopping out my own pads. Ran out of time so got a couple of sets off Al at Native.

  3. Pads are in the right spot Griz, just gotta make sure my knees are. And if my knees aren't on the pads, then they're missing the sweet spot of the board anyway.

Yeah it's a great range of EVA stuff hey Gray.

  4. Mick If you want to get away from wax all together look at clear grip http://www.surfmorexm.com/traction

I've been using it in conjuction with pads for last few years, can use with wax if you want but I really dont use wax anymore even where you place your hands
