CLUB MEET - Sunday

a nice cold start to the morning but luckily the wind had died and the forecast was completely wrong,
the swell was too small for Leighton, too bad because it was super clean, the call was made to head upto Brighton since that can handle a deep tide....some ok waves and no crowd so we got out there....really good to see a couple of new kneelo's turn up, click the link for the vid

and today

More metro waves..

This joint has been pretty good of late, hard to surf though. Really wedgey drops and a crew of local spongers that have got the joint wired and just keep pushing you back further onto the bubble, which of course sucks dry on the take off. Little pricks, I need some kneelo company so we can shepherd. Some pics of yesterday...

Metro Waves!!

Finally some metro banks! Surfed a north metro booger haven this morning for a test run on the new board.

Head high maybe a bit more on the sets, thick wedging A frames with really hollow punchy rights.

Got pitched on three solid ones in a row and still have water coming out my snoz every time I bend over to pick up one of the kids. It's actually quite satisfying to see my snot dripping on them for a change.

New board is SICK! Thanks Dave.

The truth is out there.....

In the search for a decent set of kneepads without spending hundreds of dollars I came across these. It's a kneepad off one of the clubbie nipper boards, cut in two and a bit for the kick pad on the tail. I had planned on getting some of this
http://www.pjbowers.com.au/shop/index.php?ukey=product&productID=1066
to lay over these pads and do away with wax altogether but was too much of a tight arse to spend the dosh. Had my first surf on this today and it works really well. I believe the pads are available thru Shapers Australia if anyone is keen.
Very happy with the end result, even if my board does look like something out of The X Files.

Club Clobber

Well gang winter has well and truly arrived as the recent posts below would spell out . One thing was obvious was the crew present were feeling it to in part due to the manky , out dated and generally past the used by date of their attire .
Easy fix , look to your left , click onto the link then bust out a new wardrobe of the finest club clobber available . Numerous club logo design choices , heaps of garment choices for you and the family and unfrigintold colour options so you cut a mean path wherever you choose to step out this winter . All delivered to you front door so the only reason to step into a surf shop this winter , is for a block of wax .............that's if they know what one is!
See you all at the Norfolk this Thursday 16th for our club meet .
