Harbour Banks

Like everywhere else the Harbour has had a long overdue kick in the guts and is starting to look the goods with some reasonable banks beginning to develop . I'm home all week so if anyone's up for a few sand dredges gimmy a call and rock on down , good to share a couple with the gang , don't need much of an excuse to charge up the barby after ether .

  4. that barrel was all time, swung around after missing the first wave to see a classic perfect peak..shoulder high. Griz racing to get into the right leaving me a bit deep on the left, got
tooobed the whole length of the wave.....wonder
what would have happened if had tried to go right...

  8. I laugh at the surf report today and in the same breath am very thankful . Just got in after 3 hours of some of the best low tide rip banks I've had in a long while . Exact same one we were on on Tuesday Beanz but because it was bigger the rips were full on . Heaps of work to stay on the peak but dredging barrels were to be had.......OFTEN! Thanks to the report maybe 2 dozen crew on the whole beach . Gotta refuel , Mick and I hitting Bombing range tomorrow , should be sick , any other punters got the day off .

  9. Griz, shame I wasn't in the know I would have loved to show you my fins as you were waiting for waves.

  10. Firstly Steve would that be when you were going over the falls......again , and secondly ........there was no waiting .
Why don't you come up to the Bombing Range tomorrow and you can give me a real good look at your fins , before you paddle out !?

  11. Would love to Griz but unfortunatley once again I'm stuck on a mine site 500 km or so from the nearest ocean, will be home next Fri for a few days but and would love to bust a move. I'll even wear my new Podz for you.

  12. Spot was fun today, very light onshore and four of us out. Rafts just north of the lagoon looked insane but the wind was shutting down the pits. Might have a look there in the morning although the swell may be a bit too big for it. Have fun at Lannos boys, unfortunately I don't have the time for a full day trip.

  16. Lobbed at Wedge at dawn and it was very dodgy , fat and with the odd big one but expecting the swell to spike had to give it a go . Persisted on one bank for half an hour and really thought had made bad call so paddled 300 mtrs up to bank we were all on some months back , strangely still there after recent weather , and that was smaller and more average . Mike came up too and as he arrived I shit you not it just turned on within 30 mins . Not just on but overhead grinding long pits to the beach .Tide drained , swell pulsed and the two of us took it in turns for 4 1/2 hrs . Most of you know the bank , cannot recommend it any higher , get there mid morn mid to low , best waves I've had there .

  17. Cool cheers Bean techno spaz has found it now! Checked Rafts this morning, too big and the rip was completely unmanageable.
Spot was OK but heaps of crew although Nails was doing it's thing albeit with a bit too much west in the swell. Couple of good shacks and a couple of drubbings. First time I've surfed it in years and reminded me why I love it so much. So much grunt and such a good kneelo wave.

  18. Just got in from a paddle at home and was quite disappointed , 90% closeouts but clean as a whistle . Persisted with the 10% and was duly rewarded with a few pits but shit what a wait . Looks like weather will be upon us this week and the banks are desperate for it or else it's looking like an early summer , god forbid .
